What LED bulbs fit a New Ride, Better Lights: ZITWO?

A New Ride, Better Lights: ZITWO uses T10 wedge bulbs (W5W/194/168) for the map, door, footwell and license plate lights, and festoon bulbs for the dome and trunk. AutoKitShop stocks 274 New Ride, Better Lights: ZITWO kits covering 1993–2026, each supplied with the correct adapters so no separate bulbs are needed.

Does a New Ride, Better Lights: ZITWO need CANbus error-free LEDs?

Most New Ride, Better Lights: ZITWO vehicles built after 2005 monitor the interior lighting circuit and will show a bulb-failure warning with a plain LED. A CANbus error-free kit includes the resistor or decoder that mimics the original load, so the warning stays off. Older vehicles with a simple on/off circuit run fine on standard LEDs.

How long does it take to install New Ride, Better Lights: ZITWO interior LED lights?

Allow 15 to 30 minutes. Switch the light off, pry the lens off with a plastic trim tool, pull the old bulb, push in the LED and test it before refitting the lens. If a bulb does not light, rotate it 180 degrees — LEDs are polarity sensitive. No wiring, coding or tools beyond a trim tool are required.

Will New Ride, Better Lights: ZITWO interior LEDs cause flickering?

Not with an error-free kit. Flickering on a New Ride, Better Lights: ZITWO is normally caused by the body control module pulsing the circuit to test for a failed bulb. The built-in load resistor in an error-free kit absorbs that pulse. If you already own a non-CANbus kit, adding a decoder resolves it.

What colour temperature is best for a New Ride, Better Lights: ZITWO?

White (6000K) matches the factory LED signature on late-model New Ride, Better Lights: ZITWO cars and looks the most OEM. Warm white (3000K) suits older cabins with filament-era trim. Ice blue and purple are aesthetic choices. Colour is selected per bulb, so you can keep the dome white and tint the footwells.
