I've spent time with the Kia Proceed and it's a car that gets the fundamentals right. What it doesn't get right is the interior lighting. The factory-installed bulbs are barely adequate when new, and they only get dimmer as the filaments age. An LED swap is the cheapest way to bring the cabin lighting up to modern standards.
AutoKitShop's 12-piece CANbus LED kit covers every interior socket in the Kia Proceed (2019-2025). The swap takes about 15-20 minutes and requires no special tools. No wiring, no coding, no permanent changes.
What Is a Proceed (2019-2025) Interior LED Light Kit?
A Proceed (2019-2025) interior LED light kit is a set of direct-replacement bulbs that swap into the factory dome, map, reading, vanity, trunk, glove-box and footwell sockets without cutting or rewiring. AutoKitShop lists 5 Proceed (2019-2025) LED kits covering model years 2006 to 2023. Kits for this model run from 12-piece to 12-piece sets. Each bulb is rated at 300 lumens and roughly 3x the brightness of the original incandescent lamp, at a fraction of the current draw, with a 50,000-hour service life. Kits are supplied as complete sets with the correct socket adapters, so nothing needs to be ordered separately. If a bulb does not light on first fit, rotate it 180 degrees, because LEDs are polarity sensitive. Colour options are white (6000K), ice blue, warm white (3000K) and purple.
What Is Included in the Proceed (2019-2025) LED Kit?
This kit is designed for the Kia Proceed (2019-2025). Every interior bulb position is covered:
- Front dome/map lights (x2): Overhead console.
- Rear dome lights (x2): Rear overhead.
- Vanity mirror lights (x2): Sun visor lights.
- Door courtesy lights (x2): Front doors.
- Footwell lights (x2): Under-dash.
- Trunk light (x1): Cargo area.
- Glove box light (x1): Glove box.
All bulbs use standard sockets — T10 (W5W/194) wedges and festoon 36mm types. Everything is plug-and-play.
How Do LEDs Compare With the Stock Bulbs in a Proceed (2019-2025)?
| Metric | Stock Bulb | AutoKitShop LED |
|---|---|---|
| Light output | ~40-50 lumens | ~180-220 lumens |
| Power draw (12 bulbs) | ~60W total | ~18.0W total |
| Color temperature | 2700-3000K (warm yellow) | 6000K (pure white) |
| Surface temperature | 50-80°C | ~30°C (barely warm) |
| Lifespan | ~500-1,000 hours | 30,000+ hours |
How Do You Install LED Interior Lights in a Proceed (2019-2025)?
The overhead console on Korean cars pries down from the front edge with two spring clips. Map lights are push-fit festoon bulbs. Door courtesy lenses twist off 30 degrees with a flathead. The trunk housing has two metal clips — squeeze and pull.
Important: Turn off lights before starting. Allow stock bulbs to cool if the car was running. If an LED doesn't light, rotate 180 degrees — this is the most common "issue" and it's not an issue, just polarity.
Will LED Bulbs Trigger a Warning Light on a Proceed (2019-2025)?
Korean cars like the Kia Proceed monitor interior circuits through the BCM. Non-CANbus LEDs can trigger warnings. This kit includes properly rated CANbus resistors for error-free operation.
Which Colour Temperature Should You Choose?
- White ($22.19): Best visibility and contrast. Looks factory-OEM. The recommended choice for most drivers.
- Ice Blue ($22.69): Cool tint that matches modern dashboard lighting.
- Warm White ($23.69): Closer to stock warmth but 4x brighter.
- Purple ($23.69): Custom look that stands out at night.
