Installation Information

Installation requires the crankshaft to be removed from the engine block. The main bearing caps must be properly marked and reinstalled in their original locations. The crankshaft journals must be cleaned and inspected for damage. The new main and conrod bearings, with the specified 0.25mm undersize, are to be installed in the respective housing and caps. Lubricate bearing surfaces and journals with appropriate engine oil before reassembly. Torque main bearing caps and connecting rod caps to manufacturer specifications using a calibrated torque wrench.
