1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

2. Raise and support the vehicle on a lift or jack stands.

3. Position a drain pan under the transmission pan.

4. Remove the transmission pan bolts and carefully detach the pan, allowing fluid to drain.

5. Remove and replace the transmission filter(s) and pan gasket.

6. Install the new transmission pan gasket and tighten the pan bolts according to manufacturer specifications.

7. Reinstall transmission lines and any other removed components.

8. Refill the transmission with the correct type and amount of fluid.

9. Reconnect the battery negative terminal.

10. Start the engine and check for leaks.
