Installation Information

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the engine cover and any associated components obstructing access to the camshaft sprocket.
3. Rotate the crankshaft to align the timing marks for piston position (Top Dead Center - TDC) on the cylinder bank where the sprocket is being replaced.
4. Secure the camshaft to prevent rotation using appropriate tools.
5. Remove the fasteners securing the original camshaft sprocket to the camshaft.
6. Carefully remove the original camshaft sprocket.
7. Install the new camshaft sprocket onto the camshaft, ensuring proper alignment with the camshaft splines.
8. Reinstall and tighten the fasteners to the manufacturer's specified torque values.
9. Reassemble all removed components in reverse order.
10. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.

Important Notes

• - Ensure engine is at TDC on the compression stroke for the cylinder bank being serviced before sprocket removal.

• - Use a torque wrench to tighten camshaft sprocket fasteners to the manufacturer's specified torque.

• - Verify correct camshaft timing after installation using a timing light or diagnostic scan tool.
