Installation Information

1. Ensure engine is cool and battery is disconnected.

2. Remove oil pan and oil pump pickup tube.

3. Loosen and remove connecting rod cap bolts and caps.

4. Remove connecting rod bearings.

5. Clean crankshaft journals and connecting rod bores.

6. Install new connecting rod bearings with proper lubrication.

7. Reinstall connecting rod caps and tighten bolts to specified torque in sequence.

8. Remove crankshaft pulley and front timing cover.

9. Loosen and remove crankshaft main bearing cap bolts and caps.

10. Remove crankshaft main bearings.

11. Clean crankshaft journals and main bearing bores.

12. Install new crankshaft main bearings with proper lubrication.

13. Reinstall crankshaft main bearing caps and tighten bolts to specified torque in sequence.

14. Reinstall timing cover and crankshaft pulley.

15. Reinstall oil pump pickup tube and oil pan.

16. Reconnect battery and refill engine oil.

Important Notes

• - Ensure correct bearing size is selected for crankshaft journal diameter.

• - Verify crankshaft journal surface finish and wear before installation.

• - Use of a torque wrench is required for proper tightening of bearing cap bolts.

• - Lubricate all new bearings with clean engine oil prior to installation.
