Installation Information

• Remove the engine from the chassis.

• Disassemble the oil pan and oil pump.

• Remove the connecting rod caps and main bearing caps.

• Clean the crankshaft journals and connecting rod journals.

• Install the new crankshaft main bearings and connecting rod bearings into their respective caps and block bores.

• Lubricate the bearing surfaces with engine oil.

• Reinstall the main bearing caps and connecting rod caps.

• Torque the main bearing caps and connecting rod caps to the manufacturer's specified torque values, following the correct tightening sequence.

• Reassemble the oil pump and oil pan.

• Reinstall the engine into the chassis.

• Refill the engine with the correct grade and quantity of engine oil.

Important Notes

• Ensure that the crankshaft and connecting rod journals are clean and free from debris before installation.

• Verify that the correct size bearings (standard or oversized) are selected based on the condition of the crankshaft journals.

• Always use a calibrated torque wrench to tighten bearing caps to the specified torque values.

• Failure to follow proper installation procedures may result in engine damage.
